Fixed-dose,* prefilled pen
A set dose comes in each pen, so you don’t need to mix or measure.
HYMPAVZI is available in 75 mg and 150 mg pens. For children ages 6 to less than 12, the first dose (loading dose) is 150 mg on day 1. Then a weekly (maintenance) dose of 75 mg as prescribed by your healthcare provider. For adults and adolescents 12+, the first dose (loading dose) is 300 mg on day 1. Then a weekly (maintenance) dose of 150 mg as prescribed by your healthcare provider. If more than 1 injection is required to deliver a complete dose, administer each injection at a different site.
Let’s take a closer look at the HYMPAVZI pens
- Cap: Once the cap is twisted off, the needle cover will stay inside the cap.
- Hidden needle: Thanks to its design and autoinjector delivery, you can inject HYMPAVZI into the thigh or abdomen. After proper instruction, a patient 12 years and older may self-inject or an adult caregiver may administer HYMPAVZI, if a healthcare provider determines it is appropriate. HYMPAVZI should not be injected into a vein.
- Window: The HYMPAVZI pen comes prefilled and ready to use. The window allows you to examine the product prior to use for any signs of discoloration or particulates. It also lets you see when you’ve received the full dose during the injection process.
- Fixed dose†: One week after the loading dose, the same dose of HYMPAVZI is taken every week. For those ages 12+, HYMPAVZI may be prescribed at 150 mg or dose escalated up to 300 mg. The healthcare provider will determine the appropriate dosage.
If more than 1 injection is required to deliver a complete dose, administer each injection at a different site.
